History

The best-preserved bastion in Brașov's ring of fortifications, built between the 15th and 16th centuries and maintained by the weavers' guild.

What to see

The four-level structure, with wooden galleries and battlements, houses a museum of the town's fortifications and a celebrated scale model of medieval Brașov.

Good to know

One of the most authentic witnesses to Saxon military architecture.
