Current status: check the day before you set off (checked 12 October 2026)

The Casino can only be visited on a guided tour, from Wednesday to Sunday, and it has closed days or days with only a partial tour, according to the calendar published on the official website. In the schedule consulted on 10 October 2026, the Casino was closed from 29 September to 3 October and from 6 to 11 October. For the rest of the month, full tours are announced on 12–15 and 17–18 October, and only a partial tour, of the Royal Gallery, on 16 October. For days after 18 October, check the official schedule before you travel.

A casino from 1913

The building was put up on the initiative of King Carol I: work began in 1912 and finished a year later, to plans by architect Petre Antonescu, who also ran the building site. The Casino stands in Dimitrie Ghica park, in the centre of the resort. After the communist regime took power, gambling stopped, and today the building also serves as a conference centre.

What you see

The full tour takes in the Casino's main and secondary floors, and the short tour covers the Royal Gallery. There is also a combined ticket with Știrbey Castle. The visit is indoors, so it works on a rainy day too.
