History
Known by its German name Marienburg, the fortress was raised by the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century, during the period when they held Țara Bârsei. It is tied to the beginnings of the German presence in Transilvania.

The restored hilltop fortress, with an interpretation centre dedicated to the Teutonic Order and the Saxon settlers, and views over the surroundings.
