History
Built in 1559, it is the only original gate preserved from Brașov's old citadel. The four corner turrets symbolised the town's right of judgment (jus gladii).
Why it's worth it
With its elegant silhouette and the coat of arms of Brașov carved above, it marks the entrance from Șchei towards the historic centre — one of the most photographed monuments.
