The highest town in Romania, at over 1,000 m altitude, in the pass that links Valea Prahovei with Țara Bârsei. A mountain resort with clean air and a ski area on Clăbucet.

Skiing in winter, hiking and mountain biking in summer, surrounded by Bucegi, Baiu and Piatra Mare.

Good to know

An excellent base for the mountains, close to Brașov and Valea Prahovei.
