In short (checked 13 October 2026)

Waymark: blue stripe (code 05MN29). Distance: 6 km. Elevation: 470 m of ascent and 150 m of descent. Duration: 2 h 30 min – 2 h 45 min (the route description also mentions 3.5–4 h). Difficulty: medium.

Where it goes

The route starts at the trout farm in the Azuga valley, passes below Clăbucetul Azugii and ends at the Drumul lui Ceaușescu (Ceaușescu's Road), according to Munții Noștri. The ascent is greater than the descent, so overall you gain altitude. From the end of the route, the sources mention a continuation on the blue triangle waymark towards La Susai Mountain Resort. Other landmarks on the way are not published in our sources; follow the waymarks and keep the Munții Noștri or Waymarked Trails map at hand.

Safety

In winter the route is only partly passable, and heavy snow can cause problems. Only a seasonal spring is mentioned on the way, so bring water from home. Bear risk is not published in our sources. No shelter is mentioned on the route; La Susai Mountain Resort appears only as a destination on the blue triangle continuation. Azuga is in Prahova county, so the Salvamont Brașov number is not the local one. In an emergency call 112 or 0SALVAMONT (0725 826 668), the national Salvamont number.
