Where it goes

The route links Brașov with Râșnov through the forests of the Postăvaru Massif. It starts at Solomon's Rocks, at the end of the Șchei district, climbs through Valea Sticlăriei and passes Poiana sub Padină, then descends towards Râșnov. Other landmarks are not published in our sources, so follow the waymarks and keep the Munții Noștri or Waymarked Trails map at hand.

Safety

Check access at Solomon's Rocks before you set off. On 19 March 2026 a landslide covered the forest road in the area and access was closed. In early April 2026, Brașov City Hall announced that the road had been cleared and would reopen after inspection; we found no confirmation of the reopening. In winter the route is only partly passable: heavy snow can cause problems. Water sources, shelters and bear risk are not published in our sources. In an emergency call 112 or 0SALVAMONT (0725 826 668). Salvamont Brașov (county service): 0736 628 948.
