Traseu: Șchei (Brașov) – Crucea Dreptății – Poiana lui Stechil (cruce albastră)

Where it goes

The route starts from Curcanilor street in the Șchei district, climbs to the Țepeș chapel and, at the signpost, turns right along the edge of the forest. You cross a rocky gully below the Piciorul Boului limestone crag, on the right-hand slope of Valea Popii. After crossing a stream you find, on the right, the Crucea Dreptății fountain (Fântânița de la Crucea Dreptății), built in 1919 by Ioan Peligrad and his wife Elena. You climb along the stream to the Poiana Ograda clearing and, 15 minutes later, to Poiana lui Stechil, where you meet the blue stripe (the Blue Road) towards the Crucuru ridge and the Postăvaru hut.

Safety

It is a relatively easy route, with about 350 m to climb. In winter, deep snow can cause problems. Water is available at the Crucea Dreptății fountain.
